CHALLENGE: We live in a world in which people face many different challenges: physically disabled, visually impaired, hearing impaired, etc. We would like you to create a solution (app, product, website, etc.) that will empower your fellow citizens in your community to overcome a life/personal challenge they may be experiencing.

CHALLENGE: Student and school safety are highly important topics across the country. We would like you to create a solution (app, product, website, etc.) that addresses, innovates, or improves, upon a s solution to the school safety and security. The solution can be generated or specific to a school level ( preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, college) and / or school events (dances, athletics, etc.). There are many types of schools and school events so focus on what your team is passionate about!

CHALLENGE: Energy consumption and waste is a top priority in California and throughout many countries. We would like you to create a solution (app, product, website, etc..) that learns while addressing, innovating, or improving upon a solution to energy consumption and waste in residential or commercial buildings. The solution can be general or specific or specific to a type of residence or commercial building ( single family home, multi-unit apartment, warehouse building, hospital, small business, etc.). Select the focus that your team is passionate about!

Cybersecurity is an emerging top priority amidst all factors of life. We would like you to create a solution (app, product, website, etc.) that will address a common cybersecurity issue. The issues can include 1)malware, 2)social engineering and phishing, 3)man-in-the-middle attack, 4)Denial-of-service attack, 5)zero-day exploits, 6)password attack, 7)internet of things attack, 8)injection attacks, 9)sources of cybersecurity threats, 10)cyber criminals, 11)hackers, 12)national-state actors, 13)insider threats, 14)staying ahead of cyberattacks.
